Some sketches for the children's book, Tuck Everlasting. I always loved the story, not the atrocious Disney movie, but the original story. The scene on the pond is so beautifully written and I always wanted to do my own version.
This one is going to be tricky to pull off with all the glow and glassy water reflection...I don't have very solid reference photos either, but I think I'm gonna go for it. Anyway, just a couple rough sketches :)
My goodness that is gorgeous! I love it. So much atmosphere.
